Privacy Policy
How JSON Online handles your data.
Last updated: April 2026
Overview
JSON Online is primarily a client-side web application. Core JSON processing, formatting, validation, and conversion happen in your browser, while normal site operation may involve requests to hosting, analytics, and anti-abuse services.
Data Collection
We do not collect or store the JSON content you edit for core local tools. Your documents are saved locally in your browser using IndexedDB and localStorage. If you use encrypted sharing, encrypted payloads are sent to the configured share service.
Cookies
JSON Online uses browser storage (localStorage and IndexedDB) to save your preferences and documents locally. We may also use cookies or similar technologies from analytics and anti-abuse providers needed to operate the site. We do not use advertising cookies.
Analytics
We use limited analytics to understand aggregate site usage and improve the product. We do not use analytics to inspect the JSON content you edit in the app.
Third-Party Services
JSON Online integrates a small number of third-party services for functionality and abuse prevention, including analytics and Cloudflare Turnstile for sharing. Those providers may process technical request metadata under their own policies.
Data Retention
Your locally saved documents remain in your browser until you remove them. Data processed by third-party providers, and encrypted share payloads if you use sharing, are retained according to the relevant provider or share-service policy.
Changes to This Policy
If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update this page with the new terms and the last-updated date.
